Richard F. Heaney Memorial Scholarship
Southeast Chapter

Once again in 2006 the International Beverage Packaging Association (IBPA) through the Richard F. Heaney Memorial Scholarship Fund is making available scholarships of between $500 and $2,000 to juniors, seniors, and graduate students in Packaging curriculums. We make these awards available to students who qualify under the above guidelines and who are citizens of the United States or Canada. Applicants should send an e-mail to the IBPA representatives listed below to request an application and submit their completed applications by Friday October 6, 2006.

IBPA had its inception in the mid-1950’s and is a non-profit corporation solely dedicated to the exchange of information and education pertaining to the packaging industry through meetings and seminars. Our membership includes major brewers and beverage manufacturers along with packaging machinery, equipment and material suppliers.

The awards are based on grade point average overall and in packaging courses, financial need, extra curricular activities and the completed essay. The timing follows below:

Notice to eligible institution August 14, 2006

Eligible institution to post scholarship notice by September 4, 2006

Submit completed application to IBPA local chapter October 6, 2006
